This week I uploaded a new track titled "Save You" to my Myspace page. It is a set of lyrics which I wrote in 2005 built upon the music of Chicane's "Saltwater" track.

I first cut a demo of the track shortly after writing the lyrics, and some of you will remember that I exposed the demo on Myspace for a short time in 2006. When I was recording with Mourad Bouchiba in Amsterdam, I played the demo to him, and he instantly felt that it was a hit. We set about recording new vocals and mixing the track. I was never fully sure that it would fit on my debut album stylistically, and in the end, my label and I decided it was better to hold it back for another project.

Bad decision it seems. The British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield has recorded a new version of her track "I Bruise Easily" to "Saltwater" and it is being released just in time for it to be a summer smash in Ibiza, before filtering into the rest of the universe. This is the reason, you see, that I have uploaded "Save You" now and not three months ago when my album was released. Of course, it now has no chance of being a hit as my producer had predicted, so I figured, "what am I saving it for?"
